Desert Ridge is a master planned community located in North Phoenix, south of Pinnacle Peak Road between Scottsdale Road and Cave Creek Road. The 5,700-acre community was started in the late 1990s and features such communities as Desert Ridge Aviano and Fireside at Desert Ridge. Desert Ridge’s current population is just over 6,000 and about 30% of residents are under 18; the median age is 32.4. Children of residents attend schools that are part of the Paradise Valley Unified School District.
The public Wildfire Golf Club, on the grounds of the Desert Ridge Marriot Resort, has two golf courses – an Arnold Palmer Signature Course and a Nick Faldo Championship Course. A driving range and practice green area are also available.
Aviano is luxury community built by Toll Brothers that is composed of town homes and single family homes. The Villages at Aviano are a collection of Tuscan style town homes with 1-2 and 3 bedroom units that range in price anywhere from $225,000 to over $450,000. If you are looking for something a little larger you might want to consider looking into the single family Tuscan and Spanish Colonial style semi-custom homes that were also built by Toll Brothers. These homes range from roughly $500,000 for about 2200 square feet to around $1,300,000 for 4000 plus square feet. There are a lot of great deals in Aviano right now especially through some of the short sales and lender owned properties that are currently on the market.
Fireside is a brand new Dell Webb/Pulte Homes 270 acre community within Desert Ridge where buyers can choose from apartments to luxury single family homes. A total of 916 homes will be built in this community which will include up to seven different neighborhoods. The homes will range from 1448 square feet to over 4000 square feet and prices will range from roughly $250,000 to over $800,000.
