Paradise Valley Country Club is known as the most prestigious area in the Valley of the Sun. The Club is conveniently located on Tatum Boulevard, just north of Lincoln Drive. It was developed in 1953 on 180 acres. Paradise Valley Country Club has become a legacy homestead to the town of Paradise Valley, AZ.
The 18-hole "Paradise Valley" course at the Paradise Valley Country Club facility in Paradise Valley, Arizona features 6,802 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.0 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass. Designed by Lawrence Marion Hughes, ASGCA/(R)Keith R. Foster, ASGCA, the Paradise Valley golf course opened in 1953.
The main clubhouse was designed by Architect, Hiram H. Benedict. In 1961, the Mixed Grille, Barber Shop, Private Dining Room and expansion of the Dining Room and cocktail Lounge took place. By 1962, four lighted Tennis Courts had been built. They added 6 additional Tennis in 1972. Many improvements have taken place since that time with an elevator and port-a-cochere added in 1985 and a major renovation in 1989. In 1992, the Club added the Fitness Center, Paradise Grill, and a Multi-Purpose Room.
The most recent renovation was completed in October, 2004. The updated Country Club now includes: a new and improved Clubhouse complete with a Private Dining Room, Grand Ballroom, Mixed Grill and Golf Pro Shop; Men and Ladies Grill; Men and Ladies Locker Rooms; Fitness Center; Barber shop; Swimming Pool; Lanai Meeting Space; and Tennis Proshop with ten courts. The Club is conveniently located on Tatum Boulevard, just north of Lincoln Drive.
