Tempe Town Lake is located just north of downtown Tempe area and Arizona State University. The main entrance to the park is located at the northwest corner of Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway. Tempe Town Lake is a reservoir that occupies a portion of the currently dry riverbed of the Salt River as it passes through the city of Tempe, Arizona just north of Tempe Butte.
