Andrew Holm Bio

After graduating from Kansas State University in 1995 with a Business/Psychology Degree,  Andrew Holm moved to Scottsdale with a friend from college.   I had never been to Arizona before I moved to the valley of the sun and I am happy that I made the choice.  I always preferred to be hot rather than cold although, sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision as the first summer that I was in Scottsdale it reached 120 degrees for four days in a row.  But not to worry it’s a dry heat.

During my time at Kansas State University I started my own live music promotion business when I was a Sophomore and brought in over 300 bands from all around the country.  I promoted live music three to four days a week at various bars and venues around Manhattan Kansas including: The Harem Opera House, Snookies, Rusty’s Last Chance, and Charlies just to name a few (that sure was a long time ago but still a big part of my life).  In addition, to promoting bands in the local club circuit I also launched and managed several live music festivals and promoted shows in surrounding markets throughout my college career.

My next career move brought me into the technology sector which I was a Territory Manager – Regional Sales Manager for several large companies including: Harris Corporation, Sygate (acquired by Symantec) for roughly 11 years.  As anyone knows when you are working as a Territory Manager for a technology company you are held to high quotas as well as a consistent travel schedule of 60% or more.  After 11 years in the software security field I decided to make a career change so that I wouldn’t have to travel and I could spend more time with my family.

I attained my real estate license in 2001 and starting working for Sterling Fine Homes & Land, which was acquired by Prudential and they were acquired by Berkshire Hathaway.   I consistently ranked among the top performers year after year. while at these companies for 18 years of my real estate career.  As of 2019, I moved my team to Platinum Living Realty (former owners of a Remax franchises) and I couldn’t be happier.  Since I have a team page also on this site I will not go on and on and on regarding my experience here but simply I have sold over $120.000.000.00 in real estate and have represented buyers and sellers successfully in every city in Maricopa County.

When I am not doing real estate I spend a lot of time with my son, now that he is 18 it is when he “has time”. Benjamin and I have a lot in common and we like a lot of the same things: skiing, playing guitar, basketball, tennis, playing pool and rough housing with our 5 year old 125 pound German Shepherd, Bear.

As for me, I am an avid tennis player and like to play three to four times a week when it’s not 110 out.  I play singles – doubles and mixed doubles all around the valley and have come up with a great network of friends that play as often as I do.  Time permitting, I also like to play in tournaments and just won Tennis with A Cause (a charity tournament) a few years ago.   If you are up for a game give me a call.  Also now playing Pickle Ball  a few times a week.. :)

I have lived in the Scottsdale area now for 25 years and I am happy that I made the choice to move to Arizona.  Scottsdale has so many things to offer: great schools, great weather, a wide variety of housing options, great theater and music scene as well as people from all over the US now call Scottsdale their home or part time home.  If you are looking to move to the ScottsdalePhoenix area feel free to give me a call as I know the area very well and can help you identify the right community and home for your family.

I look forward to speaking with you soon,

Andrew Holm
