Gainey Ranch: One of Scottsdale’s Most Prestigious Areas
Nestled in central Scottsdale is Gainey Ranch, a master-planned community home to some of the area’s most sought-after addresses. Often referred to as the “Oasis in the Desert,” this upscale resort-style is home to 18 gated neighborhoods ranging from carefree condominiums and villas to custom estate homes, constructed on 640 acres of land once an Arabian horse ranch owned by Daniel C. Gainey. Developed by Markland Properties, construction began in the mid-1980s with the intent that the community would feel like a small town.
Award-Winning Golf
The private Gainey Ranch Golf Club is the centerpiece of the community. Opened in 1985, Gainey Ranch Golf Club has three award-winning courses—The Lakes, The Dunes, and The Arroyo—all offering panoramic views of the McDowell Mountains. Only club members and their guests, as well as guests of the adjacent Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch, have access to the club. Gainey Ranch Golf Club offers social, partial golf, and full golf membership options. All memberships provide access to dining and social events.
Secure, Gated Neighborhoods
Gainey Ranch has over 1,000 homes spread over 19 gated neighborhoods. Of these, 12 are single-family communities, ranging from the three-home Lakeview neighborhood, nestled between the fifth and sixth fairways on The Lakes Course, ranging to the estate homes at The Estates and The Enclave. Buyers will also have a choice of seven carefree condominium communities, many of which also have beautiful golf course views. Homes range in size from 1,250 square feet for smaller condos to 7,500 square feet for luxury estates.
The Estate Club
All Gainey Ranch homes include membership in The Estate Club, located in the converted ranch home of former owner Daniel C. Gainey. The facilities feature a 25-meter lap pool, spa, seven lighted tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an activity lawn. Residents can reserve the great room, catering-style kitchen, and terraced patios for private events. Tennis lessons, personal training, and a book club are available.
