Moving to Paradise Valley means large lots, mountain views and a quiet setting minutes from Scottsdale and Phoenix. This guide covers what daily life is like and how to plan your move.
Paradise Valley is a small town with about 12,000 residents. It is almost entirely residential, with no big shopping centers inside town limits. Instead, residents enjoy quiet streets, desert landscaping and views of Camelback Mountain and Mummy Mountain.
The town is home to well-known resorts such as Sanctuary Camelback Mountain, Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia, Mountain Shadows and The Ritz-Carlton, Paradise Valley. Many have restaurants and spas open to the public. In addition, Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak offer some of the most popular hikes in the Valley.
Lincoln Drive, Tatum Boulevard and Scottsdale Road are the main roads through town. Scottsdale Fashion Square and Biltmore Fashion Park are usually about 10 minutes away. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is often about 20 minutes by car, depending on traffic.
First, choose a few areas that fit your budget and the views you want. Next, check school boundaries, since most of the town is in Scottsdale Unified School District. Then plan your move for cooler months if you can. You can browse all Paradise Valley communities and homes for sale, or contact The Holm Group for local advice.
